Photospin Case Study
Photospin is a local (Elmhurst, IL) company run by Carla Schmidt who crafts unique photo and video slideshows for any type of event. She creates beautiful montages that are perfect for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and just about any other event you can imagine. Carla came to us needing an entire identity kit (logo, business cards, letterhead and envelope). She had a very specific image of her company in her head that she wanted to show prospective clients.
Carla wanted Photospin's image to be young, hip, sassy and professional. She used the word chic to describe her business, and we ran with it. The fun part came when we had to make sure prospective clients took her seriously, yet still knew this girl can have fun at work!
We presented Carla with three (3) logo concepts, and she chose this design. We love the simplicity of combining typography and graphics into the name of a brand, which we did here with the H/filmstrip illustration. And obviously the chic pink give this entire brand a very unique and sassy vibe.
Our creative process typically includes multiple concepts, and we encourage discussions with clients on why they prefer certain designs. In the case of Photospin we gave Carla three very different concepts, all of which included her requirements, but still stood on their own as unique and individual designs. We don't just craft pretty brands, we give them depth, soul and meaning!
Business Cards & Letterhead
When we help our partners build their brand, we give them tools that instill confidence when marketing their business. Carla at Photospin needed letterhead to print her proposals and invoices on, and of course she needed memorable business cards to hand to prospective clients. We don't allow our partners to struggle with using clumsy word processing software like Microsoft Word to design their marketing materials!
